Private Operations Associate

The Private Operations Associate will join Octus’s Global Covenants Operations team in the Pakistan office. This is a high-impact, detail-oriented role for someone who is curious, learns quickly and can thrive at the intersection of financial data, operational precision and fast-paced delivery. For the right candidate, this role also opens a pathway to contribute to Octus’ Covenant operations workflows, broadening exposure to legal documentation, credit data and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Search for documents (credit agreements, lender presentations) and review them to identify the right credit instruments and transaction terms
• Create database records for new transactions, applying consistent data standards and quality checks 
• Maintain and update deal status data, ensuring accuracy and completeness
• Ensure strict adherence to compliance processes related to private and confidential documents, including permissioning entitled clients and executing client list reconciliations
• Track the syndicated loan and high yield bond primary markets using multiple proprietary data feeds
• Collaborate with the commercial team and act as a reliable point of contact for data queries over time
• Support workflows across other products served by the operations team, including liaising with data teams worldwide and London/US counterparts on data initiatives
• Contribute to operational projects and process improvements as needed

Requirements

• A University degree
• Ability to work UK hours
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills
• Curious mindset with a willingness to learn new processes, tools, and industry concepts
• Meticulous attention to detail; accuracy is non-negotiable in this role
• Logical mindset
• Clear, professional communication in English, both written and verbal
• Interest in financial services, legal documentation or financial data
• Proactive and collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills and a client-first mindset 
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortable working with spreadsheets and data sets
• Working knowledge of AI tools and large language models (e.g. ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude) for data extraction, document analysis or process automation; experience building AI-assisted workflows is a plus
• Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues across teams and time zones
