ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
I’m partnering with a well-funded early-stage technology startup that is building infrastructure for the next generation of AI-powered software. They’re looking for a strong Fullstack Engineer to help develop the systems and infrastructure behind the platform.
You’ll work across a broad range of backend challenges, including building scalable services, developing APIs, and creating infrastructure capable of supporting AI-driven applications. The role offers significant ownership and the opportunity to influence technical direction at an early stage. This is a full-time on-site position in San Francisco, CA.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Completely own full features end-to-end & collaborate with the founders to scope out the problem space.
- Design and implement scalable APIs using TypeScript and modern web frameworks (Hono/Node.js).
- Architect and optimize PostgreSQL databases, writing performant queries and managing complex schema evolution.
- Implement real-time ML inference pipelines and recommendation systems.
- Build containerized infra for secure and isolated AI agent execution environments.
- Flex across the full stack to support our customers.
- Ship fast.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- 2 - 5 years of experience as a full-stack engineer at a an early stage startup (Seed - Series C).
- 2+ years of full-time experience (at least 1 year in backend roles).
- Deep proficiency with Javascript, Node, and Python.
- Relentless focus on user success with exceptional quality standards.
- Builder or owner mentality.
- Degree in CS or a related field.
NICE TO HAVE SKILLS
- Experience with ML infrastructure, model serving, and real-time inference.
- Founder or founding engineer experience.
- Experience with TypeScript and PostgreSQL.

Compensation
The base pay range for this role is $180,000 – $220,000 per year.
