Role Overview

We're looking for a Full Stack AI Product Engineer across South & Central America to help design, build, and scale software solutions for both Chiri and our clients.

This role is primarily backend-focused (approximately 70% backend / 30% frontend) and is ideal for an engineer who enjoys building products end-to-end, from APIs and integrations to user-facing experiences.

For this role, we are specifically looking for an engineer with strong TypeScript experience, working knowledge of Python, and hands-on experience building and operating applications in Microsoft Azure.

You'll work on a combination of client platforms, AI-powered applications, integrations, business automation initiatives, and data-driven workflows that support measurable business outcomes.

Our engineers don't just build features. They help solve business problems. Strong candidates can clearly articulate the impact of their work, whether that's improving operational efficiency, reducing manual effort, increasing revenue opportunities, or improving customer experiences.

This particular role will include work involving sales and revenue workflows, enterprise integrations, and conversational data. Experience supporting sales organizations, working with sales-call transcripts, or integrating with Salesforce is especially valuable.

You'll start by learning Chiri's engineering patterns, frameworks, and platform components, then progressively take ownership of larger features, systems, and technical initiatives as you grow within the team.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain modern full-stack applications.
Build scalable backend systems, APIs, integrations, and product capabilities primarily using TypeScript, with Python where appropriate.
Develop performant and user-friendly frontend applications using modern web technologies.
Build features and solutions for both client platforms and Chiri's internal products.
Design and build AI-powered applications, integrations, automations, and workflows using modern LLMs and AI models.
Build and operate applications and services in Microsoft Azure.
Define and manage cloud infrastructure using Terraform and infrastructure as code.
Build and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines for application and infrastructure deployment.
Integrate third-party platforms, APIs, enterprise applications, and business systems.
Work with structured and unstructured data, including conversational data such as call transcripts.
Build workflows that extract, transform, structure, analyze, and operationalize information from unstructured text and business systems.
Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to system design decisions.
Collaborate with engineers, product stakeholders, and client teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
Optimize application performance, reliability, security, and maintainability.
Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices.

Required Skills and Experience

5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
Strong production experience with TypeScript.
Working professional experience with Python.
Professional experience building backend services, APIs, integrations, and data workflows.
Experience developing frontend applications using React, Next.js, or similar modern frameworks.
Experience building production software that incorporates LLMs, AI models, or AI-powered workflows.
At least 1-2+ years of hands-on Microsoft Azure experience.
Hands-on experience with Terraform or comparable infrastructure-as-code tooling.
Experience with Docker and containerized application development.
Strong understanding of software architecture, system design, and engineering best practices.
Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and Git-based development workflows.
Strong SQL and relational data fundamentals.
Experience integrating external APIs and business applications into production systems.
Experience owning features from design through deployment and ongoing support.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a remote environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience building AI-native SaaS products, agentic applications, or LLM-powered workflows.
Experience supporting sales, revenue operations, or go-to-market organizations through software and automation.
Experience integrating with Salesforce or comparable CRM platforms.
Experience working with sales-call transcripts, conversation intelligence data, meeting transcripts, or other conversational data.
Experience turning unstructured text into structured data, insights, workflows, or automated actions.
Experience with sales technology platforms, CRM-driven workflows, or revenue operations systems.
Strong Python experience, particularly for AI, data processing, integrations, or backend services.
Experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, or similar databases.
Experience integrating third-party systems, APIs, and enterprise business applications.
Experience with Azure-native services and production cloud architecture.
Experience participating in customer meetings, requirements gathering, or solution design discussions.
Experience working in startup or high-growth environments.
Demonstrated examples of delivering measurable business outcomes through technology.
Experience mentoring engineers or contributing to technical decision-making.
