Part-Time Junior Recruiter
About Bedrock Talent
At Bedrock Talent, we’re intentional about the companies we represent. We partner primarily with early- and growth-stage startups, working closely with founders and hiring leaders to build thoughtful, high-performing teams.
We’re a small, hands-on recruiting firm, which means everyone contributes in meaningful ways. We care deeply about doing excellent work, treating candidates with respect, and creating organized, human hiring experiences.
The Opportunity
We’re looking for an early-career recruiter or sourcer to support candidate sourcing, application review, interview coordination, recruiting administration, and special operational projects.
This is a great opportunity for someone with one to two years of recruiting, sourcing, or recruiting coordination experience who wants broader exposure to the full recruiting process. You’ll work across multiple searches and clients while learning how a small recruiting business operates behind the scenes.
The right person is organized, thoughtful, comfortable working independently, and genuinely enjoys keeping people and processes moving.
What You’ll Do
Application Review
Review inbound applications across multiple roles and clients
Evaluate candidates against clearly defined role requirements
Identify strong potential fits and flag profiles for further review
Maintain consistent and accurate candidate records in our applicant tracking systems
Help ensure every applicant receives a timely and respectful response
Sourcing
Research and identify potential candidates using LinkedIn, sourcing platforms, professional communities, and other tools
Build targeted candidate lists based on role requirements
Personalize and send candidate outreach
Track outreach activity, responses, and follow-ups
Support talent-mapping projects for current and future searches
Coordination and Recruiting Administration
Coordinate interviews across candidates, clients, and internal stakeholders
Manage scheduling changes, confirmations, and follow-up communication
Keep applicant tracking systems and recruiting trackers accurate and up to date
Draft candidate communications and assist with process updates
Help move candidates smoothly through each stage of the interview process
Operational and Special Projects
Support recruiting operations projects designed to improve efficiency and organization
Help build templates, trackers, interview materials, and internal documentation
Assist with data cleanup, reporting, and process audits
Research and test recruiting tools or workflows
Jump into other projects as business and client needs evolve
What We’re Looking For
One to two years of experience in recruiting, talent sourcing, recruiting coordination, or a related role
Strong organizational skills and close attention to detail
Clear, warm, and professional written communication
Ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through without constant oversight
Comfort learning and using applicant tracking systems, LinkedIn, spreadsheets, and recruiting technology
Sound judgment when reviewing candidate backgrounds and handling confidential information
A proactive mindset—you notice what needs to be done and help move it forward
Genuine respect and empathy for candidates navigating the job-search process
Nice to Have
Experience working with startups or recruiting agencies
Experience sourcing technical, product, go-to-market, or healthcare candidates
Familiarity with tools such as Ashby, Greenhouse, Lever, LinkedIn Recruiter, or other sourcing platforms
Experience drafting personalized candidate outreach
Interest in recruiting operations and improving internal processes
What Success Looks Like
Candidate and recruiting data is consistently accurate and organized
Interviews are scheduled smoothly, with clear communication for everyone involved
Applications are reviewed thoughtfully and on time
Sourcing projects produce relevant, well-researched candidates
Follow-ups and administrative details do not fall through the cracks
You gradually take on more ownership as you learn our clients, roles, and processes
