[8NW] Product Designer/UX Designer

Position – how you’ll contribute

• Design end-to-end multi-step workflows (quizzes, questionnaires, guided finders, eligibility and matching flows) that feel simple and engaging, even when the underlying logic is complex.
• Design personalized recommendation experiences that present tailored results clearly, build trust, and help members make confident decisions.
• Design monetized components (recommendation cards, product modules, offers, and calls to action) that can be injected into AI/LLM experiences such as chat interfaces and AI-generated responses, balancing usefulness to the member with business goals.
• Map out user flows, branching logic, edge cases, and error or empty states, thinking through what happens at every step of the member's journey.
• Create mockups, wireframes, and high-fidelity prototypes in Figma that can be shared with stakeholders and partners for feedback and approval.
• Collaborate closely with the Product Manager to align on vision, priorities, and design needs, taking ideas and running with them to turn them into polished, high-quality designs.
• Partner with engineers, data/personalization teams, and business stakeholders, delivering precise specifications that engineering can easily implement.
• Incorporate business logic and performance goals (conversion, completion rate, drop-off, engagement) into design decisions, and iterate based on data and feedback.

• Strong Product Design / UX Design experience with a product-first mindset, plus strong UI and visual design skills.
• Proven experience designing multi-step workflows or guided experiences such as onboarding flows, configurators, quizzes, applications, or decision tools.
• Experience designing personalized or recommendation-driven experiences, where content or results change based on user inputs or data.
• Interest in, or experience with, designing for AI/LLM experiences, such as conversational interfaces, AI-assisted tools, or components that appear within AI-generated content.
• Expertise in modern, accessible design, with a solid understanding of accessibility standards.
• Visual design skills that elevate designs into something delightful, with a "show, don't tell" approach.
• Strong background working with and establishing design systems that create consistency across experiences and applications.
• Comfortable in lean, fast-paced startup environments, iterating rapidly with limited guidance.

Nice-to-have requirements

• Experience working on websites or apps promoting financial products.
• Experience designing lead-generation, affiliate, or other monetized experiences.
• Experience with experimentation and A/B testing for flow optimization.
• Experience optimizing UX for SEO performance.
• Familiarity with how LLM products surface content, sources, or sponsored results.
