Senior Java Backend Developer

• Analyze, understand and challenge business requirements when needed.
• Design, develop and maintain backend applications using Java and related technologies.
• Participate in technical design activities and contribute to solution architecture.
• Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to Java development best practices.
• Develop and maintain RESTful and SOAP web services.
• Build applications following high-volume, low-latency and high-availability architectural principles.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes, tools and standards.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and support DevOps practices.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.
• Create and maintain technical design documentation.
• Provide Level 3 support for production applications.
• Participate in testing activities, including unit and integration testing.

Professional Experience

• 3-5 years of software development experience.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in Java backend development.
• Experience working in Agile environments.

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of Java 8/17 and J2EE.
• Solid experience with Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Spring MVC and Hibernate.
• Experience developing RESTful and SOAP web services.
• Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles.
• Experience with Java Design Patterns (MVC, DAO, Singleton, Factory, Builder, etc.).
• Good knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Experience with Spring Data JDBC or similar frameworks.
• Experience working with Oracle, PostgreSQL and/or Apache Cassandra databases.
• Understanding of Microservices Architecture and Enterprise Integration Patterns.
• Experience with unit and integration testing using JUnit and Mockito.
• Experience with version control and CI/CD tools such as Git, Jenkins, Maven/Gradle, SonarQube and Artifactory.
• Familiarity with Linux environments.
• Familiarity with Docker and OpenShift.
• Familiarity with AWS cloud services.
• Knowledge of XML and JSON.
