We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist to play a pivotal role in our growing EMAP Data Science team. This position is ideal for an accomplished professional passionate about advanced analytics, innovation, and delivering impactful solutions to clients.
Role Purpose
The primary goal of this role is to design, develop, and deliver innovative data science solutions that address complex business challenges and create measurable value for our clients. The successful candidate will combine expertise in programming, data engineering, statistical modelling, machine learning, and Generative AI to transform data into actionable insights and scalable solutions.
Working closely with clients and internal stakeholders, you will identify opportunities, strengthen strategic relationships, and develop analytical products and prototypes that support data-driven decision making and business growth. You will leverage large and diverse datasets, anticipate challenges, and deliver high-quality solutions that generate tangible impact.
Responsibilities
Evaluate and acquire new data assets
Develop new product prototypes
Provide sales support and consultancy
Analyze, and document large datasets
Apply machine learning, data mining, and text mining techniques to extract value from data
Validate model and score performance
Document and present modeling processes and outcomes
Design analytical solutions for internal and external clients to address business problems. Design and deliver scalable analytics and AI solutions for internal and external clients to solve complex business challenges.
Make independent decisions to develop new approaches and resolve uncertainty in complex scenarios
Establish best practices for applying Experian and client data to create insights
Define business assumptions for relevant solutions
Create materials for knowledge sharing and roundtable discussions
Lead programs to enhance client analytical solutions, data quality, model performance, and project timelines
Guide team efforts to identify solutions
Share expertise and improve departmental contributions
Provide mentoring within project teams
Advocate for analytics through publications and presentations
Proficiency in Python
Understanding of data structures and their applications in marketing, risk, and customer management
Familiarity with regression models, XGBoost, neural networks, SVM, and ensemble methods
3+ years of experience in defining scope and delivering customized analytics projects
Expertise in advanced algorithms to solve practical business problems
