Maintenance Team Manager - Days

As a Maintenance Team Manager - Days at Avery Dennison, you will be responsible for planning, supervising, and ensuring the execution of routine, planned, and emergency maintenance repair activities. In this role, you will lead performance review and skill development processes for maintenance team members, maintain equipment operational flow, and foster a safe, continuous improvement culture within our Greenfield facility.

Key Responsibilities

This is an on-site position located at our Greenfield, Indiana facility. Shift hours are 6:00am to 2:00pm, Monday through Friday.  On-call every 4th weekend.  Extra hours and occasional weekends as needed. 

• Plan and assign work for all maintenance team members using the MP2 CMMS, ensuring efficient execution of routine, planned, and emergency repairs.

• Prepare and deliver team member performance reviews, create individualized development plans, and facilitate training opportunities in collaboration with site leadership.

• Audit team members to ensure strict adherence to Safe Work Practices, Standard Operating Procedures, and training instructions.

• Lead efforts to identify root cause and preventative actions for safety and quality issues, while supporting 5-S, housekeeping, ELS projects, and recycling programs.

• Actively participate in restore flow efforts, including hands-on diagnosing of equipment and process issues, while collaborating across functional areas to optimize production efficiency.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in maintenance planning and 2 years in maintenance management or supervision; Bachelor's degree preferred.

• Proven experience using MP2 CMMS software for planning and work order assignment.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills with a detail-oriented focus to follow oral and written instructions.

• Demonstrated commitment to safety as a core value, with a track record of enforcing safety practices, policies, and procedures.

• Demonstrated ability to contribute in a team-based environment, lead continuous improvement/Lean initiatives, and perform physical requirements including lifting/pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs.
