Manager, Production

About the role

The Manager, Production directs manufacturing operations to achieve safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost reduction objectives. This role leads production teams, drives continuous improvement and Lean methodologies, optimizes machine and workforce utilization, and ensures strict compliance with quality systems and environmental health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate with supervisors, planners, pre-press, supply chain, and material planning to manage delivery lead times, prioritize orders, and maintain continuous, uninterrupted production.
• Drive machine and workforce utilization to increase production output, optimize UEE and UPLH, and execute Capex planning as per forecasting.
• Ensure adherence to quality systems and procedures, conduct root cause analysis, and execute corrective actions for failure resolution.
• Implement new processes and Lean methodologies to solve production-related issues, evaluate site best practices, generate contribution margin, and develop SOPs.
• Lead productivity savings and sustainability projects, including material utilization improvement, scrap reduction, and engineering solutions.
• Drive Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) in coordination with the maintenance department to keep machines up to standard for continuous production.
• Support sample development and lead times in collaboration with GPD to capture market opportunities.
• Champion departmental EHS standards, safety requirements, and housekeeping, providing required awareness and ensuring strict compliance.
• Drive workforce development through multi-skilling projects, cross-functional involvement, and technical/administrative support for operators and staff.
• Manage cost evaluations in Oracle, oversee departmental discipline, and step up to lead operational needs as required.

• B.Sc. Engineering in Industrial & Production Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing/production environment.
• Very good leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Sound understanding of production processes and operational workflows.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and remain target-oriented.
