Senior Industrial Millwright / Mechanical Tech

Key Responsibilities

• Precision Mechanical Work: Execute shaft-to-shaft alignments, timing and V-belt tensioning, and the teardown, rework, and assembly of complex gear reducers, bearings, and fasteners.

• Equipment Reliability: Establish mechanical inspection and preventive maintenance routes to maximize plant uptime.

• Diagnostic & Repair: Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair major and minor mechanical drive system failures across process, utility, and manufacturing equipment.

• Technical Mentorship: Act as a technical leader on shift, transferring knowledge to develop shift maintenance technicians through hands-on training and guidance.

• Documentation & Continuous Improvement: Create and update technical documentation, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Single Page Lessons, and red-line schematics.

Qualifications & What You Bring

• Experience & Education: High School Diploma (or equivalent) with 8+ years of verifiable work experience in mechanical drive trains and machine repair; OR an Associate Degree in Industrial Maintenance Technology, Journeyman certification, or Millwright certification with 4+ years of relevant experience.

• Technical Expertise: Strong working knowledge of bearing preloads, gear sets, and AC/DC drives.

• Core Competencies: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, root-cause investigation mindset, high attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and teamwork.

• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs and willingness to work overtime when needed.

Preferred: Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, ISO standards, and computer maintenance management systems or Google Workspace tools.
