Manufacturing Engineer

The Avery Dennison Identification Solutions group is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join the Manufacturing Engineering team at our site in Miamisburg, Ohio. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will have the opportunity to lead and execute cost savings projects that are directly tied to key strategic goals for the business.

Key Responsibilities

This is an on-site position located at our facility in Miamisburg, Ohio.

• Promote safety as the most important value in the organization by contributing through training, process improvement, and environmental, health, and safety (EHS) responsibilities.

• Develop, document, and implement standard manufacturing processes, procedures, and processing controls to meet quality standards in the most cost-efficient manner.

• Provide day-to-day support to manufacturing to resolve production and quality issues, collaborating with machine repair teams to analyze root causes and establish preventive maintenance.

• Partner with the Manufacturing Engineering Manager to develop and execute projects aligned with the Identifications Enterprise Lean Sigma journey.

• Optimize direct and indirect manufacturing labor and in-plant material flow using industrial engineering methods (line balancing, time studies, layout planning), while managing equipment validation run-offs and special projects.

• Bachelor's Degree in a related engineering field (Mechanical/Industrial) and 2+ years of experience in an engineering function within a manufacturing environment.

• Solid technical knowledge of Electronic Systems (wiring diagrams, schematics, PLC logic) and Mechanical Systems (cams, torque requirements).

• Strong understanding of process documentation, process improvement, and proficiency with applicable computer systems (e.g., Google Workspace).

• Excellent math, analytical, communication, and organizational skills with high attention to detail.

• Preferred experience with CAD software (Solidworks for 3D modeling, AutoCAD 2D for facility layout), Oracle E-Business Suite R12, and the ability to execute multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
