Team Manager

About the role

As a Team Manager at Avery Dennison's West Coast Distribution Center, you will provide leadership and direction for all Safety, Quality, Service, Productivity, and Cost Reduction objectives within an assigned area of the facility. Reporting to the Site Leader, you will manage direct reports, drive continuous improvement, and foster a customer-focused team committed to operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

This is an on-site position located at our Rancho Cucamonga, California facility.

• Provide leadership, direction, and daily supervision for warehouse staff, ensuring safety, quality, service, productivity, and cost reduction targets are met.

• Perform general management duties including hiring, training, employee development, performance evaluations, work assignments, timekeeping, and applying organizational policies.

• Direct daily operational activities such as shipping, receiving, loading and unloading trucks, stacking, picking, packing, and analyzing inventory reports.

• Design and implement operations improvement strategies, lead 5S activities, and drive continuous improvement utilizing Enterprise Lean Sigma principles.

• Lead safety initiatives, conduct daily safety huddles and monthly safety meetings, and collaborate across functional areas to resolve problems and eliminate waste.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.

• 6+ years of operational experience, with previous team leader or supervisory experience preferred.

• Demonstrated skill in analyzing operational data, daily scheduling, planning, budgeting, and managing inventory control systems.

• Strong ability to lead, coach, and develop a diverse team, driving continuous improvement and applying Enterprise Lean Sigma principles.

• Excellent customer focus, communication, and decision-making skills, with the flexibility to adapt hours as needed for operational priorities.

Pay Transparency

The salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $112,000.00 / year.

The hiring base salary range above represents what Avery Dennison reasonably expects to pay for this position as of the date of this posting. Actual salaries will vary within the range, and in some circumstances may be above or below the range, based on various factors including but not limited to a candidate’s relevant skills, experience, education and training, and location, as well as the job scope and complexity, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel required for the position, which may change depending on the candidate pool.
