The Role

Shift is seeking an experienced Solutions Architect to lead the design and delivery of enterprise-scale customer experience platforms spanning marketing technology and CRM ecosystems. This role architects how content, personalization, customer data, and sales and service processes work together across a client’s technology landscape. Adobe Experience Cloud is a core pillar of this ecosystem, but the role is not Adobe-exclusive: it also covers Salesforce and other CRM platforms, the processes they support, and the integration architecture that connects them. The ideal candidate translates business goals into scalable, multi-platform technical architectures and leads cross-functional teams through modernization initiatives spanning cloud migration, personalization, analytics, experimentation, CRM process design, and composable architecture.

What You'll Accomplish

• Architect enterprise customer experience solutions that span marketing technology and CRM, with Adobe Experience Cloud as a key—but not exclusive—pillar of the platform strategy
• Design end-to-end customer data and process flows across CRM (e.g., Salesforce) and Adobe Experience Cloud, ensuring consistent customer profiles and journeys across systems
• Translate client business goals into scalable, secure technical architectures spanning content management, personalization, analytics, customer data, and CRM-driven sales and service processes
• Evaluate and recommend the right platform or tool for a given capability based on client needs, rather than defaulting to a single-vendor solution
• Lead cross-functional teams through modernization initiatives, including cloud migration, composable architecture adoption, CRM process redesign, and platform consolidation
• Design integration architecture (APIs, iPaaS such as MuleSoft, and event-driven patterns) connecting CRM, MarTech, DAM, and analytics platforms
• Guide integration of Adobe Assets and Dynamic Media, and CRM content/asset workflows, into modern authoring and delivery experiences
• Serve as a technical advisor on multi-million-dollar digital transformation engagements, partnering with client stakeholders, delivery teams, and Adobe and Salesforce (or equivalent) account teams
• Establish and evangelize architectural best practices, reusable patterns, and governance standards across engagements and across platforms
• Mentor engineers and consultants on multi-platform architecture and implementation patterns

What You Bring

• 8+ years of experience designing and delivering enterprise-scale customer experience platforms, spanning both marketing technology and CRM ecosystems
• Deep, hands-on architecture expertise with Adobe Experience Cloud (AEM as a Cloud Service, Edge Delivery Services, Adobe Experience Platform, Customer Journey Analytics, Adobe Target, Real-Time CDP, Launch/Web SDK, Assets & Dynamic Media)
• Hands-on architecture experience with Salesforce (e.g., Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud/Account Engagement) or a comparable CRM platform
• Experience designing integration architectures that connect CRM, MarTech, and data platforms, including APIs, iPaaS (e.g., MuleSoft), and event-driven architecture
• Demonstrated ability to evaluate and recommend the appropriate platform or tool across a multi-vendor marketing and CRM technology landscape based on client needs
• Demonstrated experience leading complex, multi-platform implementations for large, enterprise, or Fortune 500 organizations
• Strong ability to translate business requirements into technical architecture and communicate architectural decisions to both technical and executive stakeholders
• Experience leading cross-functional teams through cloud migration, modernization, CRM process design, and composable architecture initiatives
• Excellent communication, presentation, and client-facing consulting skills

Bonus Qualifications:

• Salesforce certifications (e.g., Application Architect, System Architect, or platform-specific certifications) in addition to Adobe product certifications (e.g., AEM, AEP, Target, Launch)
• Experience with Marketo or other marketing automation platforms
• Experience with MuleSoft or other integration/iPaaS platforms
• Experience with additional CRM or MarTech platforms (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics, HubSpot)
• Experience in a consulting or systems integrator environment supporting multiple concurrent client engagements
• Familiarity with composable / MACH architecture principles
• Experience contributing to Adobe or Salesforce partner communities, thought leadership, or solution accelerators

Compensation & Benefits

The anticipated salary range for this remote role is $165,000 to $180,000 USD. Salary is based on several factors including but not limited to skillset, relevant education, level of experience, certifications, and scope of responsibilities.
