Job Purpose

  • Monitor all project plans adherence to their initial schedule
  • Ensure that schedule progress is accurately reported to management
  • Identify risks and delays with mitigation plans

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Develop Aldar projects high-level pre-construction and construction planning in conjunction with the project teams, to identify critical path and alternate schedules
  • Review plan against schedule developed by PMC/ EOR to ensure realistic timeframes and recommend changes
  • Provide support and input during project feasibility phases
  • Provide information to contracts team, on claims related issues
  • Coordinate with project teams from pre-planning to delivery regarding scheduling, monitoring and risk mitigation
  • Coordinate with project teams to track progress on project plan and adherence to schedule
  • Support in development of reporting templates and prepare regular reports to assess Aldar projects portfolio adherence to schedule
  • Identify and raise deviations from the plan to the senior manager, assess impact on project and liaise with project teams to notify them of potential delays
  • Support project teams in identifying opportunities for improvement, risks and areas where additional effort is required
  • Coordinate with Cost Control to assess schedule deviations impact on the budget
  • Review all variation orders and assess impact on overall project plan
  • Provide the criteria to distribute the forecast cost, according to the schedule, to develop the project cashflow.
  • Generate regular reports on project progress to the management incl. risks and mitigations.

  • Accuracy of project schedule and completion forecasted dates.
  • Risk identification (% of risks/issues/failures identified in advance)

RELATED YEARS OF EXPERIENCE

Min of 5+ years of experience in planning and control of real estate development projects [annual revenue of at least AED 2 billion]

FIELD OF EXPERIENCE

  • Real Estate / Construction

TECHNICAL AND INTERPERSONAL SKILLS

  • Strong knowledge and exposure to the GCC real estate market
  • Deep understanding of project phases
  • Experience of using Primavera P6 is essential
  • Ability to multi-task, monitor schedule for more than 5 projects at a time
  • Adept at handling multiple stakeholder relationships
  • Excellent conflict resolution skills required to identify and propose solutions for any schedule slippage/cost overrun issues
  • Attention to detail to monitor and track schedule

QUALIFICATION

Bachelors degree in engineering, construction management or operations.
