About the Role

You’ll join one of our sector teams, covering industries such as consumer goods, software, or financial services. These teams build and maintain the analytical data products our clients rely on to understand companies and markets.

As a Data Analyst (Internal Official Title: Data Specialist), you’ll learn how to turn large, complex datasets into accurate and useful insights. You’ll help maintain recurring analyses, investigate changes in the data, and improve the workflows behind our products.

You’ll work closely with a Data Lead and experienced teammates to learn our datasets, methodologies, and quality standards. You’ll begin by owning specific analyses and recurring tasks, with support and feedback as you build confidence. Over time, you’ll take on broader responsibility for products and workflows.

This role is well suited to someone early in their analytics career who enjoys solving problems, pays close attention to detail, and wants to understand how data informs investment decisions. You don’t need to arrive with deep knowledge of financial markets or alternative data—we’re looking for a strong analytical foundation, curiosity, and a willingness to learn.

What You’ll Do:

• Help deliver accurate, reliable data products. Run and maintain recurring analyses, complete quality checks, and investigate unexpected results. Build toward ownership of defined products and workflows as your expertise grows.
• Work with large datasets to answer client questions. Use SQL and Python to explore data, identify trends, and understand what the results tell us about the companies and industries we cover.
• Investigate data problems. Work with teammates to trace discrepancies, test assumptions, and evaluate possible explanations. Learn when to investigate further and when to ask for guidance.
• Use AI and automation to improve your work. Identify repetitive tasks, contribute to reusable workflows, and learn to use AI tools effectively while validating their outputs.
• Collaborate across teams. Partner with Research, Engineering, Product, and other teams to resolve issues and deliver high-quality products. Communicate your findings clearly and document your work so others can build on it.
• Suggest improvements. Bring questions and ideas that help the team strengthen quality checks, improve documentation, refine a methodology, or simplify a process.

Over your first year, you might:

• Take responsibility for a recurring analytical workflow, including quality checks and delivery.
• Investigate a change in a dataset and help determine whether it reflects a business trend or a data issue.
• Evaluate a new alternative dataset with support from an experienced teammate.
• Build a reusable script or AI-assisted workflow that reduces manual work.
• Contribute an analysis or visualization to a new research product or client dashboard.

You Are Likely To Succeed If

• You’re early in your analytics career, typically with 1-3 years of relevant professional experience. We welcome recent graduates and career changers who can demonstrate their skills through internships, academic research, work experience, or substantive projects.
• You have a working foundation in SQL and can use it to join, aggregate, and explore data. You have some experience using Python for data analysis and are interested in building more reliable, reusable workflows. Familiarity with PySpark is a plus.
• You enjoy working through analytical questions and care about accuracy. You can explain your approach, test assumptions, and check your results. You notice inconsistencies and follow through to understand what caused them.
• You’re eager to learn unfamiliar datasets and industries. You ask thoughtful questions and use feedback to improve your work.
• You follow through on your responsibilities. You keep teammates informed, flag obstacles early, and ask for help when needed.
• You communicate clearly. You can explain findings and uncertainties to others and are willing to develop your ability to communicate with technical and non-technical audiences.
• You are curious about industries, competitive dynamics, and the factors that drive company performance.
• You’re interested in AI tools and willing to experiment with them while checking their work carefully.

What We Offer:

• Our compensation package includes a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits. The annual base compensation for this position is anticipated to be from SGD 72,000 to SGD 96,000. Final compensation will be determined based on the candidate’s experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and internal team benchmarks.
