  In This Role, Your Goals Will Be:

  In three months:

  • Develop a strong understanding of the media planning process, including the use of proprietary planning tools and data sources.
  • Build an understanding of the client’s business, category, target audience, and competitive landscape.
  • Support the planning and execution of live campaigns across traditional and digital media.
  • Develop an understanding of media partners, their offerings, and the media landscape, particularly digital.
  • Build relationships with internal specialist teams and external stakeholders to support effective media solutions.

  In six months:

  • Independently contribute to media planning and campaign development across assigned brands.
  • Develop the ability to translate client objectives and brand KPIs into effective media recommendations.
  • Take ownership of assigned campaign deliverables and ensure timely execution.
  • Build working relationships with key client and media partner contacts.
  • Develop a strong understanding of the media execution and post-campaign evaluation process.
  • Support the Business Manager/Client Lead in delivering larger-scale campaigns.

  In 12 months:

  • Develop strong category and media acumen, with an understanding of the client’s business and competitive environment.
  • Independently manage key aspects of media planning and campaign execution.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize campaigns and improve media effectiveness.
  • Contribute ideas and solutions that support client objectives and build the business.
  • Develop confidence in presenting media recommendations, campaign updates, and post-campaign insights to internal and client stakeholders.

  Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development of media strategies and annual media plans, including phasing and budgeting, to achieve brand KPIs.
  • Assist the Business Manager/Client Lead in maintaining strong working relationships with brand teams and identifying potential media opportunities.
  • Support the development of media plans across traditional and digital channels based on client objectives and target audience insights.
  • Analyze campaign and media data to provide recommendations for optimization.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving issues with media/account teams and media vendors.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with media suppliers, internal teams, specialist departments, and brand teams.
  • Support the preparation of quarterly, semi-annual, and annual media reviews and recommendations.
  • Ensure timely delivery of media plans, monthly post-buys, campaign reports, presentations, and other client requirements.
  • Coordinate with relevant teams to resolve billing and campaign-related issues.
  • Work cross-functionally with the Client Management team, Account Directors, and specialist teams as required.
  • Support the media management and execution process by coordinating with relevant internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist in preparing campaign launch presentations and showcasing campaign performance to the brand team.
  • Contribute to regional and industry award submissions by supporting the development of relevant case studies and presentations.
  • Stay updated on media trends, new platforms, tools, and innovations across traditional and digital media.
  • Share knowledge and support the development of Assistant Planners and junior team members on media fundamentals as required.

  • Good understanding of traditional and digital media channels.

  Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in BBA, Marketing, Business, Media, or a related field from a reputable university.
  • 2–3 years of relevant experience in media planning, media buying, digital media, marketing, or a related field.
  • Experience working with media planning tools, data, and campaign performance analysis will be an advantage.
