German speaking Financial Accountant

This is a hybrid role requiring three days a week in our Frankfurt office.

What Will You Do

• Support the end-to-end processes of accounts payable and/or accounts receivable accounting
• Provide accurate data for weekly cash flow forecasting and payment proposals for assigned entities
• Assist the team with maintaining and reconciling general ledger accounts
• Act as the primary point of contact for incoming accounting-related mail and emails; handle inquiries independently or forward them to the appropriate person when necessary
• Review, verify, and post incoming invoices, including managing associated workflows and administrative tasks
• Support day-to-day accounting operations
• Clarify and reconcile accounts payable and inter company accounts
• Prepare payments and assist with payment runs
• Contribute to the creation of statistics, reports, and ad-hoc analyses
• Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes in accordance with HGB/IFRS standards
• Support the optimization of existing accounting and administrative processes

What Will You Bring

• Successfully completed vocational training in a commercial or business-related field
• At least 4–5 years of professional experience in accounting, e.g. in accounts payable, accounts receivable, or general ledger accounting, or a combination of these areas
• Native-level or excellent business-level German and negotiation-ready English skills are required
• Professional experience with HGB (German GAAP) or IFRS
• Strong aptitude for numbers and a solid understanding of fundamental legal and regulatory accounting requirements
• Experience with ERP systems is required; knowledge of Oracle NetSuite is an advantage
• Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel and Word
• Structured, reliable, and independent working style with a keen eye for detail
• Hands-on mentality, team orientation, and a willingness to take on operational tasks
