FutureFocus: Quants is an exclusive program designed to give students graduating in 2029 a unique, behind-the-scenes look at the world of quantitative trading and research. Over the course of five days, you’ll take part in technical lectures, skill-building workshops, and networking events that will help you sharpen your skills and take action early in your academic journey.

Whether you’re drawn to the fast-paced decisions of trading or the data-driven insights of research, this program offers you the chance to explore which career path is right for you. And if you prove to be a good fit, you could secure a fast-tracked internship offer, giving you the chance to skip the traditional recruitment process.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Learning and skill development:

• Trading fundamentals: Gain exclusive insights into market making and learn key skills that our traders and researchers use in their day-to-day work.
• Quant pathways: Get a behind-the-scenes look at quantitative trading and research, helping you discover which career path aligns best with your strengths.
• Skills workshops: Enhance your quantitative skills through hands-on workshops led by Optiver’s traders and researchers, applying tools and techniques used in the industry.
• Networking events: Engage with peers and professionals through networking opportunities designed to help you build meaningful connections within the industry.

Networking and culture:

ELIGIBILITY

• Graduating in 2029;
• Studying at a university in the UK, Ireland, or Europe;
• All degree backgrounds are considered;
• You are able to demonstrate at the time of application that you have the requisite visa or other travel authorisations in place in order to allow you to attend the program in person.
