The position

At OPSWAT, we’re on a mission to protect the world’s most critical infrastructure. As a U.S.-based cybersecurity leader, we’re expanding our R&D footprint in Hungary — and we’re looking for a Test Automation Engineer Intern to join our team working on one of our most strategic solutions: MetaDefender Managed File Transfer. 

MetaDefender Managed File Transfer is OPSWAT’s secure, policy-driven file transfer solution designed to provide enterprise-grade protection, automation, and oversight for file workflows. Trusted by governments and global organizations, we are at the heart of secure data movement and we’re expanding its future in Veszprém.

As part of our cybersecurity-focused company, you will play a crucial role in testing cutting-edge software solutions aimed at protecting critical infrastructure from cyber threats. Your work will make a real impact, defending the digital front lines of industries, governments, and essential systems around the world.

You Will Have the Opportunity to

  • Collaborate with a diverse and skilled team of engineers, security experts and researchers.
  • Automated testing of cybersecurity software products using TypeScript
  • Participate in our training program, learning about software testing processes and the necessary technical and soft skills.
  • Actively participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, stand-up meetings, and retrospectives, to contribute to team goals and deliver high-quality software products. 

 

What We Are Looking For

  • Ongoing IT-related university studies at the University of Pannonia, Veszprém
  • Practical use of IT skills learned at university
  • Basic programming knowledge
  • Good communication skills in English
  • Ability to work 20-40 hours/week during the summer period
  • Ability to work 20-30 hours /week during the university period
  • Strong teamwork, interpersonal skills and flexibility
