Who We Are

Nuro believes self-driving vehicles are the most immediate and profound opportunity for AI to drive positive change in the physical world. Safer streets, more time for what matters, and easier access to the world around us, that’s why we’re building a universal autonomy platform: self-driving for all roads and all rides.

Founded in 2016, Nuro is a physical AI company developing Level 4 autonomous driving technology for a wide range of vehicles, use cases, and markets. Powered by the Nuro Driver™, our universal autonomy platform enables the global mobility ecosystem to deploy autonomy at scale, from robotaxis and logistics fleets to personal vehicles.

With years of real-world deployment experience and a flexible, partner-led business model, Nuro is working toward a future where millions of autonomous vehicles powered by our technology help make everyday life safer, easier, and more connected. Nuro has raised over $2B in capital from Uber, NVIDIA, Google, Softbank, Fidelity, T. Rowe Price, and other leading investors.

About the Team

Software Operations is the processing muscle behind Nuro Driver. We take the onroad miles our fleet collects and turn them into usable data, which becomes the foundation everything downstream depends on. Within Software Operations, Eval Operations holds the bar for safety and system testing, making sure our autonomous driving software is safe before it ever hits the road. It's careful, consequential work, and we take it seriously.

About the Role

We're looking for a Senior Program Manager, Eval Operations to help shape how software evaluation and validation come together across the company. You'll join a team running complex pipelines across simulation, root cause analysis, and systems evaluation, and you'll play a central role in keeping that work organized, prioritized, and moving forward.

This is a great role for a process-oriented leader who loves bringing structure to ambiguous, fast-moving problems. You'll get up to speed on technical context quickly, weigh competing demands across multiple software teams, and bring clarity to what should happen next. You'll partner closely with Autonomy Engineering and Systems Engineering, turning overlapping priorities into clear plans and helping the validation organization scale alongside the rest of the company.

What you'll Own

  • Running the intake, triage, prioritization, and escalation processes that give the validation organization structure and predictability
  • Refining workflows so they actually hold up as validation complexity grows, not just on paper but in how the work moves day to day
  • Quickly orienting within active validation cycles by absorbing the technical context, identifying blockers, and articulating clear priorities across multiple software teams to keep work moving
  • Partnering with Autonomy Engineering and Systems Engineering to align on validation requirements, manage competing demands, and drive clarity when priorities conflict
  • Safeguarding data integrity across validation outputs so stakeholders can trust the results and act on them with confidence
  • Managing capacity across external vendors and in-house resources
  • Identifying risks early, planning mitigations, and escalating cross-functionally to keep critical deliverables on track under tight timelines
  • Building the metrics, reporting, and review mechanisms that give leadership visibility into progress, risks, bottlenecks, and quality trends

About You

  • 5+ years in technical program management, engineering operations, or related roles where you've built and improved operating mechanisms for complex technical organizations
  • Strong critical thinking and the ability to drop into an active validation cycle, absorb the technical context quickly, and articulate clear priorities across multiple software teams
  • Cross-functional stakeholder management, especially aligning competing engineering groups
  • Experience coordinating delivery across onshore and offshore teams
  • Structured problem-solving and risk management instincts
  • Clear written and verbal communication with both technical and executive audiences
  • High agency, with a track record of building process where none exists and influencing outcomes without direct authority
  • Comfort defining KPIs, interpreting data, and turning outputs into clear decisions and recommendations
  • A bachelor's degree in a technical or business discipline, or equivalent practical experience

Bonus Points

  • Background in software validation, QA, or quality engineering, with a working understanding of validation methodology
  • Experience in AV, robotics, or safety-critical systems
