About the Role

As an Operations Manager for HelloFresh Ireland, you will work directly with our Senior Operations Manager to oversee, manage, and optimise our Third-Party Logistics (3PL) fulfilment partner. Unlike direct operational management models where you manage shift teams on the floor, this role focuses on driving high-level operational performance, managing key metrics, and influencing our 3PL partner to execute best-in-class processes.

You will be responsible for building a strong, trust-based relationship with our 3PL partner, establishing accountability, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring that our customers receive perfect boxes every time.

What You Will Be Doing

1. 3PL Oversight & Performance Management

• Monitor, analyse, and manage site KPIs, including SLA compliance, throughput, cost per box, and production errors.
• Conduct performance reviews with the 3PL management team to review metrics, address operational bottlenecks, and track corrective actions.

1. Relationship Building & Influence

• Establish strong, collaborative relationships with 3PL leadership to align operational priorities and drive process changes.
• Serve as the main bridge between HelloFresh central teams, including Supply Chain, Tech, and FSQA, and the 3PL management team.

1. Quality & Standards Governance

• Oversee 3PL adherence to HelloFresh food safety, quality, and workplace safety standards through site audits and checks.
• Ensure effective root-cause analysis and sustainable resolution for any quality or service failures.

1. Continuous Improvement & Cost Efficiency

• Partner with the 3PL to identify efficiency opportunities, optimise workflows, and apply Lean principles.
• Lead initiatives aimed at waste reduction, labour optimisation, and peak-season scaling.

Who You Are

Essential Experience & Skills

• Vendor/3PL Management Experience: Proven track record in logistics, fulfilment, or supply chain management, specifically managing external 3PL partners or suppliers.
• Relationship & Stakeholder Management: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a proven ability to negotiate, influence key stakeholders, and build collaborative supplier relationships.
• Metric & Data-Driven: Strong analytical mindset with experience managing SLAs/KPIs, conducting root-cause analysis, and leveraging data to drive business decisions.
• Operational Insight: Solid understanding of warehouse operations, fulfilment processes, and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• Influence without Direct Authority: Ability to drive change, accountability, and operational excellence in a partner-managed environment where you do not directly manage the floor staff.
• Adaptability & Resilience: Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a flexible, solution-oriented approach.

Advantageous Qualifications & Experience

• Data analytics proficiency, e.g. SQL, Tableau, Power BI, or advanced Excel.
• Practical experience or certification in Lean, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement methodologies.
• Background or qualifications in FMCG, fresh food fulfilment, or food safety standards.
