Intern: Human Resources Rotational

EquipmentShare is searching for a student intern to join the Human Resources Team at our Home Office in Columbia, MO for the Spring of 2027. 

This internship is designed to give students the opportunity to explore different areas of Human Resources through hands-on experience. During the 10–12 week program, interns will rotate through several HR departments, learn from team members, and gain a better understanding of how each area supports the business.

Primary Responsibilities

Rotation 1: Preboarding & Onboarding (Weeks 1–3)

• Learning Objectives: Master the preboarding checklist workflow, understand candidate communication channels, and analyze initial employee engagement during onboarding.

Rotation 2: Benefits & HR Programs (Weeks 4–6)

• Learning Objectives: Gain exposure to benefit administration, employee enrollment inquiries, leave policies, and company-wide program logistics.

Rotation 3: Learning & Development + Employee Relations (Weeks 7–9)

• Learning Objectives: Understand training needs analysis, course creation logistics, confidentiality principles, and policy implementation.

Rotation 4: HR Business Partners (HRBP) & Field/Branch Operations (Weeks 10–12)

• Learning Objectives: Shadow HRBPs in strategic planning meetings, learn how HR aligns with operational goals, and understand field/branch labor dynamics.

Flexible work schedule but prefer Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm.

What You're Working With:

• Must be actively working towards a BS degree (or seeking) in Human Resources or related field
• Attention to detail / organization skills 
• Have a GPA of 3.0 or higher
• Strong desire to explore and grow in the field of Human Resources
• You have excellent communication skills
• You are highly organized and able to multitask
• You have a strong desire to take on new challenges with a positive attitude
• Aptitude for working in groups and collaborating,
