Account Executive - Growth

Your Mission

We’re looking for a quota-carrying Account Executive - Growth to drive expansion across Engine’s strategic customer base. You’ll partner closely with Account Managers who own the ongoing customer relationship, while you focus on identifying whitespace, building the commercial case, engaging the right decision-makers, and closing.

What You’ll Do

• Drive Expansion: Proactively identify and close growth opportunities across your assigned accounts.
• Strategic Discovery: Understand your customers’ businesses deeply and uncover opportunities they may not have identified themselves.
• Executive Selling: Build VP+ relationships, multithread across accounts, and develop internal champions who can move opportunities forward.
• Own the Deal: Lead complex, multi-stakeholder opportunities from discovery through pricing, procurement, and close.
• Pipeline Rigor: Maintain an accurate pipeline, prioritize the highest-value opportunities, and ensure every deal has a clear next step.
• Pod Partnership: Work closely with Account Managers and cross-functional partners to turn customer signals into qualified opportunities while protecting the long-term health of the account.

What You’ll Bring to Engine

We're looking for someone who's excited to own strategic customer relationships and drive measurable business outcomes.

• Experience: 4+ years in a quota-carrying B2B sales, expansion, or account growth role; SaaS or technology experience preferred.
• Proven Sales Performance: A track record of creating and closing meaningful revenue opportunities and consistently achieving quota.
• Complex Selling: Experience navigating strategic or enterprise customers, multiple stakeholders, and complex deal cycles.
• Executive Presence: Confidence building credibility and selling to VP+ and executive stakeholders.
• Hunter Mentality: You proactively find whitespace and create pipeline rather than waiting for opportunities to come to you.
• Sales Rigor: Strong discovery, account planning, multithreading, pipeline management, and forecasting skills.
• Travel Experience: Experience traveling regularly to meet with customers and comfort with ongoing customer-facing travel (approximately 8 times per quarter).
