Your Role

You will join a small Chief of Staff team that acts as a CEO-mandated strategy taskforce — deployed selectively against the topics that matter most to the company at any given moment. Working directly with the Chief of Staff, CEO Frank Zillmer, and the broader Leadership Team, you will combine rigorous analysis, structured thinking, and hands-on execution to move the company's highest-priority challenges forward. This is not a support or coordination role: you will own meaningful workstreams end-to-end, from structuring the problem through to ensuring the recommendation becomes a real outcome. It is designed as an apprenticeship in company building, and strong performers will have a clear path into operating or leadership-track roles within emnify over time.

The Chief of Staff team sits at the intersection of every strategic decision the company makes, which means you will develop a rare, cross-functional understanding of how a high-growth technology business actually works — commercially, operationally, technically, and financially. You will get real responsibility early, work on genuinely important problems, and build judgment that would take years to accumulate in a more siloed environment. The team is small by design: your contribution will be visible, and the learning curve will be steep in the best possible way.

Your Impact

• Solve the company's highest-priority strategic problems — structure ambiguous questions, develop and test hypotheses, go deep into the data, and deliver clear, decision-ready recommendations to senior leadership.
• Drive rigorous follow-through on strategic initiatives — translate recommendations into concrete workplans, coordinate stakeholders across functions and geographies, track KPIs, and stay close to execution until outcomes are achieved.
• Own analytical deep-dives across financial, commercial, operational, and technical domains — identifying the underlying drivers behind what is actually happening in the business and connecting data to the strategic question that matters.
• Build momentum without formal authority — earn the trust of functional teams, understand their constraints, and constructively push progress forward on topics where the CEO Office is adding capacity and support.
• Develop high-quality decision materials, presentations, and synthesised insights that give the Leadership Team a clear picture of complex situations and a well-reasoned path forward.
  
  

What We Expect

• A track record of analytical depth and quantitative fluency — you are comfortable building and interrogating financial models, business cases, and complex datasets, and you can move confidently from data to insight to business implication. A background in strategy consulting (MBB or strong Tier 2) is a strong signal, though candidates from investment banking, private equity, or high-performing strategy or operations roles at scale-ups will also be considered where the core capabilities are clearly demonstrated.
• Structured strategic thinking — you can break an ambiguous problem into a clear set of hypotheses and analyses, quickly identify what matters, and synthesise your findings into a coherent storyline rather than a data dump.
• Ownership and execution drive — you do not stop at the deck. You engage the people involved, understand their challenges, and actively help move the topic forward. You are comfortable creating momentum and progress without formal authority.
• Strong communication and senior stakeholder maturity — you produce clear, concise presentations and decision materials, and you can interact confidently with senior leaders while remaining low-ego and open to being challenged.
• Technical curiosity — you do not need to be an IoT or telecommunications expert, but you engage readily with unfamiliar technical data, ask strong questions, and build enough subject-matter understanding to draw meaningful conclusions.
• An AI-enabled analytical working style — you use modern tools pragmatically to handle large or complex datasets, test hypotheses faster, and raise the quality and speed of your work.
• High learning agility — you get up to speed quickly on unfamiliar industries, functions, and problems, and you are motivated by understanding how things work rather than by staying in your comfort zone.

Your First 6 Months

In your first few weeks, you will focus on building a working understanding of emnify's business — the product, the market, the commercial model, and the operating priorities — and getting up to speed on the current strategic topics the Chief of Staff team is working on. You will contribute to live workstreams quickly rather than sitting through a lengthy onboarding.

By month two or three, you will be leading meaningful analytical work independently: structuring problems, running your own analyses, and producing recommendation materials that go directly to senior stakeholders. You will have built enough context and credibility to start engaging functional teams in your own right.

By the halfway mark, you will be owning defined workstreams end-to-end — from initial problem framing through to tracking execution — and acting as a genuine thought partner to the Chief of Staff and Leadership Team on the topics you are closest to. The specific subject matter will have shifted at least once; that is by design.

Why It Might Not Be a Match

• You prefer to specialise and go deep in a single function or domain. This role moves across strategy, finance, operations, commercial, and product topics depending on what the company needs most — depth in one area matters less than the ability to build it quickly in any area.
• You are drawn to strategy formulation but less comfortable with the execution side — coordinating stakeholders, following up when things stall, and staying close to a topic until the outcome is actually achieved. Both halves of that equation matter equally here.
• You are at a stage where you want clear structure, defined scope, and a predictable workload. The Chief of Staff team works on the most important and often least well-defined problems in the business, and the ability to create structure rather than find it is core to the role.
