The Role

As a Marketing Strategist, you will help drive growth across our North American business. In this role, you will develop and execute integrated marketing programs that generate pipeline, accelerate revenue, and strengthen market awareness for Paymode, Bottomline's business payments network.

We're looking for a strategic, data-driven marketer who embraces emerging technologies, including AI and automation, to improve marketing performance, streamline execution, and enhance customer engagement. You'll partner closely with sales, product, marketing, and leadership teams to build programs that deliver measurable business results.

Success in this position will be measured by marketing's contribution to pipeline, revenue, customer engagement, and overall return on investment.

What You'll Do:

Drive Revenue Growth

  • Develop and execute marketing programs that generate qualified pipeline and support revenue growth.
  • Analyze campaign performance and customer insights to improve conversion rates and marketing effectiveness.
  • Identify opportunities to increase efficiency and scale through automation and AI-powered solutions.

Lead Marketing Innovation

  • Champion the adoption of AI and emerging technologies across marketing initiatives.
  • Implement tools and workflows that enhance campaign execution, content creation, audience targeting, and performance measurement.
  • Establish scalable processes that reduce manual effort and improve speed to market.

Optimize Marketing Investments

  • Leverage analytics and performance data to guide marketing strategy and budget allocation.
  • Continuously evaluate channel performance and recommend investment decisions that maximize business impact.

Strategic Marketing Programs

  • Develop innovative demand generation and brand awareness programs that support growth objectives for Paymode and Bottomline's broader payments business.

AI & Marketing Technology

  • Design and optimize AI-enabled workflows and tools that support:
    • Campaign planning and execution
    • Content development and repurposing
    • Audience segmentation and targeting
    • Sales enablement
    • Competitive intelligence
    • Event marketing
    • Customer research and voice-of-customer initiatives
    • Marketing analytics and reporting

Customer & Market Insights

  • Leverage market research, analytics, and technology to identify customer needs, industry trends, buying behaviors, and growth opportunities.

Segmentation & Personalization

  • Develop targeted marketing strategies that improve audience engagement and create more personalized customer experiences.

Industry Influence

  • Partner with industry analysts and influencers to strengthen Bottomline's position within the payments, treasury, and financial automation markets.

Testing & Optimization

  • Promote a culture of experimentation by continuously testing and optimizing messaging, channels, programs, and customer experiences.
