Role description
As founding COO, you build the operational backbone of Synaipse. Our physician co-founders own product and clinical strategy; you own go-to-market, partnerships, finance, and the systems that let a small team execute beyond its size. You report directly to the CEO.
You're not inheriting processes. The first enterprise contract, the sales playbook, vendor relationships, the hiring rubric — you build them from scratch and own them long-term.
What you will do
- Go-to-market strategy and execution: identify target customer segments, build the sales pipeline, and close deals with independent practices, surgical groups, and health systems.
- Strategic partnerships with EHR vendors, payer organizations, medical societies, and healthcare technology platforms.
- Financial planning and operations: budgeting, forecasting, fundraising support, and unit economics.
- Operational infrastructure: the processes, tools, and workflows that let a small team execute at enterprise scale.
- Team building: recruit, hire, and develop the founding team across sales, customer success, and operations.
Qualified applicants have done this
- 8+ years in operations, strategy, or business development, with 3+ years in a leadership role at a high-growth startup or healthcare company.
- Taken a B2B SaaS or healthcare product to market, ideally from early stage through initial revenue milestones.
- Deep understanding of the healthcare landscape: payer dynamics, practice operations, physician-owned credentialing workflows, or revenue cycle management.
- Built and led cross-functional teams in fast-paced, resource-constrained environments.
- Strong financial acumen, with P&L ownership, fundraising, and investor relations.
- Bias toward action: you'd rather ship an 80% solution today than a perfect one next quarter.
