Schedule: Full-time | On-site
Job Description:
Our client is seeking a System Administrator 3 to manage mission-critical IT infrastructure supporting Department of Defense operations. This role requires hands-on management of Linux and Windows systems, virtual environments, and security compliance measures, ensuring high availability and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer Linux and Windows-based systems
- Support patching, configuration, and performance tuning
- Troubleshoot hardware/software and resolve user issues
- Maintain virtual environments and backup solutions
- Ensure compliance with DoD STIG standards and security protocols
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field, or equivalent experience
- 5–10+ years of systems administration experience
Skills & Technical Knowledge
- Proficiency in Linux and Windows administration
- Experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware and KVM
- Scripting experience in Bash and PowerShell
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and network protocols
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills

Compensation
The base pay range for this role is $180,000 – $200,000 per year.
