Assembly Mechanic
Bring high-tech blueprints to life. Assemble next-level radar hardware – so our systems perform flawlessly when tracking critical airborne objects.
As our Assembly Mechanic, you are the person who actually builds the high-tech systems that make our mission possible. You connect electronic components, work from electrical diagrams, and load software onto integrated servers. Working alongside Production, Engineering and Warehouse colleagues, you catch assembly bugs early and help us improve. You report to the Head of Production & Planning, making sure every radar leaves our floor perfectly reliable.
What you'll do
Radar assembly and wiring: Build complex radar systems by connecting electronic components, soldering parts, and putting together sub-assemblies. Make sure everything is tightly constructed mechanically and electronically.
Diagrams and paperwork: Use electrical diagrams to guide your daily build work with great attention to detail. Keep simple work logs and report technical issues so the team stays aligned.
Software and integration: Load software onto the servers inside our radar systems. Assemble computers, electronic parts, and transmitter gear, making sure the hardware and software work together seamlessly.
Troubleshooting and fixes: Spot assembly faults early and flag them so we can fix them. Run quick diagnostic tests to find functionality issues and help solve problems before things ship.
Testing support and driving: Help our team test systems at locations outside the office when needed. Use a forklift safely around the facility to move parts where they belong.
What you bring
BA (MBO) degree in Engineering or a relevant technical field.
Over three years of experience in similar high-tech assembly roles.
Fluency in both English and Dutch to collaborate effectively with the team.
A methodical approach to tasks combined with meticulous attention to precision.
A proactive team player who also thrives when working independently.
Ability to occasionally travel for radar testing purposes outside the office.
N.B. Don't worry if you don't tick every box. Our mission is a journey, and there's plenty to learn along the way. If most of this fits, we'd love to hear from you.
Please note: a Certificate of Conduct (VOG) and a background check are part of our screening process. We appreciate your understanding.
