Your Role

As a Backend/QA Engineer at PALO IT, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the reliability, performance, and functionality of our digital solutions through a robust blend of backend development and quality assurance practices.

• Design and implement scalable backend components using Java while ensuring integration with Firestore and Google Cloud SQL.

• Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks to validate the functionality and performance of applications, integrating these into our CI/CD pipelines using GitHub.

• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality application delivery, leveraging GitHub's PR-based workflow for effective code management.

• Monitor application performance and troubleshoot issues effectively, proposing necessary improvements based on user feedback and performance metrics.

• Participate in Agile ceremonies, contributing to continuous improvement in our development practices and ensuring quality is embedded at all stages.

Who You Are

• Proven experience in backend development, particularly with Java and associated frameworks.

• Familiarity with databases such as Firestore and Google Cloud SQL, as well as experience in cloud environments like Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

• Proficient in QA methodologies including automated testing frameworks and CI/CD practices, with strong experience in GitHub for version control and project management.

• Solid understanding of software design principles, development best practices, and Agile methodologies.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering robust and high-performance applications.

• Excellent communication skills with a collaborative mindset, ready to work within a diverse team culture.
