AI Deployment Strategist

About the role
As an AI Deployment Strategist, you will sit at the intersection of product, engineering, operations, and customer success. You are the person who gets AI working in the real world — not in a demo environment, but inside the day-to-day workflows of our customers' finance teams. You will own deployments from kickoff through go-live to long-term adoption, translating complex technical capabilities into business outcomes that customers can actually measure.
This is not a hand-off role. You will be in the weeds: troubleshooting, prompting, and iterating. And you will be in managing critical relationships: aligning stakeholders, managing expectations, and turning early wins into expanded partnerships. You will work closely with product, strategy & operations, engineering, and sales teams, and will have direct accountability for the customers you own.
What you’ll doAI Solution Deployment
Lead end-to-end AI deployments — from discovery and workflow mapping through configuration, go-live, and adoption — with full accountability for outcomes
Run structured scoping sessions with customers to identify high-value AI use cases within AR, cash application, and collections workflows
Configure and validate Fazeshift's AI capabilities to fit specific customer environments, ensuring go-live is operationally successful, not just technically complete
Drive user adoption through training, documentation, and the development of internal champions inside client organizations
Monitor KPIs tied to business outcomes post-deployment; proactively surface expansion opportunities and escalate risks before they become problems
Technical Fluency & Product Strategy
Develop deep technical fluency in the Fazeshift product — become the go-to resource for customers and internal teams on how it works and how to get the most out of it
Troubleshoot product issues in the field; reduce bugs, document edge cases, and work with engineering to drive resolution
Translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences with confidence and clarity
Stakeholder Management & Customer Adoption
Own the customer relationship from kickoff through steady-state, serving as a trusted advisor to stakeholders from frontline operators to executive sponsors
Lead customer meetings and working sessions with urgency and clarity; manage action items on both sides without needing prompts
Navigate complex enterprise environments — multiple stakeholders, competing priorities, and organizational dynamics — while keeping deployments on track
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Scale
Act as the bridge between customers and Fazeshift's internal teams — synthesizing field feedback to influence product roadmap decisions and feature prioritization
Coordinate across product, engineering, and go-to-market to unblock customer issues quickly
Build reusable assets: playbooks, training materials, and implementation guides that make future deployments faster
Communicate customer wins, interesting configurations, and learnings internally to drive sales examples and case studies
3–5 + years in management consulting, technical project management, corporate strategy, business operations, or a similar customer-facing role — ideally at a top-tier consulting firm (MBB, Big Four, or equivalent) or in an AI-focused organization
Sharp analytical skills; can quickly diagnose ambiguous situations, structure a path forward, and execute without step-by-step guidance
Experienced managing client relationships at multiple levels — from day-to-day operators to C-suite executives — with strong instincts for when to push, when to listen, and how to build trust
Obsessive about tracking tasks, following up, and ensuring nothing slips — on your side or the customer's
Thrives in ambiguous, fast-moving environments; adjusts quickly to changing priorities without losing focus on outcomes
Preferred:
Experience in financial services, fintech, or enterprise finance operations (AR, collections, cash management)
Prior exposure to AI/ML products, LLM tooling, or enterprise SaaS implementations
Familiarity with AI workflow automation tools (e.g., N8N, Zapier) or AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code, Copilot)
Compensation
Base Salary: Competitive (flexible based on experience and candidate priorities)
Equity: Meaningful, aligned with impact
Bonus: Performance-based
Flexible (unlimited) paid time off
Competitive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision benefits for you and your family
Lunch, as well as delicious snacks and coffee to keep you energized
Location: San Francisco or New York (preference)
