👐 About the team

The Merchant Activation team's mission is to set merchants up for success and maximise TPV by providing an efficient onboarding journey with impactful training and tools.

The team covers three scopes: Enterprise (managed by two Retail Project Managers), Mid-market, and international expansion across Italy and Spain. The numbers speak for themselves: by May 2026, the team had already launched more retail networks than in all of 2025 — including OGF (2,000 POS), Yves Rocher, and Prada across 9 European countries simultaneously.

You'll report to the Head of Merchant Activation and work closely with Sales, Account Management, and the international teams (Italy, Spain) to ensure every merchant partnership starts strong and stays activated.

This position is a CDI based in Paris.

💼 About the job

Own mid-market onboarding in France

  • Manage end-to-end onboarding of mid-market retail network accounts: project coordination, account creation, training delivery, and performance tracking for the first 3 months
  • Work hand-in-hand with Sales and Account Managers to ensure a seamless handover

Deploy and train retail networks in Italy and Spain

  • Conduct training sessions in Italian and/or Spanish for in-store teams — from small boutiques to major retail networks
  • Coordinate deployments across markets, adapting Alma's onboarding methodology to local specificities

Be the voice of the field inside Alma

  • Gather product feedback and verbatim from in-store staff across markets
  • Bring those insights back to Product and relevant teams to improve the merchant experience

Keep raising the bar on activation

  • Constantly iterate on training formats and content — stay proactive, stay ahead
  • Contribute to improving the operating model and activation KPIs (SLA, quality, TPV)

💡 Your background might be in Customer Success, project management, or account management — what matters most is your ability to coordinate, communicate, and make things happen across multiple markets

🧩 About you

To succeed in this job

  • 2–3 years of experience in customer success, project management, account management, or a similar client-facing role
  • Fluent in French, english, Italian and/or Spanish — this is the top priority; you'll be training in-store teams in their language
  • Comfortable juggling multiple accounts and priorities across markets
  • Strong project management skills: organized, rigorous, able to drive complex deployments end-to-end
  • Excellent verbal and written communication — you can explain things clearly to anyone, from a store manager to a C-level

And it will be nice if you also

  • Are also fluent in French (a real plus for daily team life and onboarding)
  • Have some familiarity with the retail world or fintech/payments
  • Are naturally curious, empathetic, and pedagogic — you enjoy making things click for others
  • Are a doer with a humble attitude: you get things done without making it complicated

Don't meet every single requirement? At Alma, we believe great hires come from diverse paths. If this role excites you, we encourage you to apply. We value potential, curiosity and the ability to grow as much as experience.

🧘  What’s in it for you

If you join, you will be able to grow and impact on:

  • Real, measurable impact — the retail networks you activate translate directly into Alma's TPV; you'll see the results of your work in the numbers
  • A pioneer role — the international expansion of Merchant Activation is just beginning; you'll be helping build how Alma operates in Italy and Spain, not just executing a playbook
  • A clear growth path — the natural evolution for this role is toward Retail Project Manager, with expanding scope across markets and merchant tiers
