About the role

We are looking for an Office Centralisation Intern to support the Finance Operations team. In this role, you’ll work closely with stores and support teams to provide transactional processing, resolve issues, and identify opportunities to improve processes, systems, and ways of working. This internship offers hands‑on exposure to finance operations, customer service, and continuous improvement within a large, complex organisation.

Key responsibilities

Assist with transactional processing across non‑customer‑facing areas, including bank and GL reconciliations, accounts payable activities, vendor management, and Christmas Club and gift card reconciliations. Work with store teams to identify, resolve, and prevent recurring issues, escalating or recommending solutions where required. Provide timely responses to ad‑hoc queries and offer basic coaching within your areas of understanding. Identify process inefficiencies and contribute ideas to improve accuracy, efficiency, and customer service. Support a collaborative, customer‑focused environment across store and centre teams.

About you

You’re organised, proactive, and enjoy working in a service‑focused environment where accuracy and attention to detail matter. You communicate clearly and confidently, enjoy collaborating with others, and take pride in delivering a high volume of quality work. With a customer‑service mindset, you’re comfortable resolving issues, asking questions, and looking for ways to improve how things are done. You’re currently studying towards, or have recently completed, a qualification or have an interest in finance operations, business processes, or commercial environments. Exposure to corporate systems or ERP tools is an advantage, but not essential.
